-SATURDAY: The boyfriend and I drove down from Berkeley to Los Angeles today so that we can spend the labor day holiday with our families.
I spent most of the day shopping with my Mom. I found some fabulous black Cole Haan pumps and I couldn’t resist!!! They are beautiful and comfortable, so I bought them even though I promised myself that I wouldn’t shop for the whole month of September. After, my mom and I went to Costco to munch on the free samples and got some hot dogs, and yogurt! Yum! We ended our mother-daughter adventure by taking Sebastian to The Shoppes for a summer night-time walk.
Right now I am drinking mango nectar and watching Peanuts with the one and only Sebastian! About to head to bed soon since I’ve been up since 2AM from the drive!
-SUNDAY: Sebastian woke me up by cuddling in bed with me. We spent a while laying in bed playing games with my iPhone and then we got ready for church.
After mass the family and I went to the Los Angeles County Fair for lunch. Admissions were only $1 before 1PM so we really lucked out! We grubbed on King Tacos, Pink’s Hot Dogs, Juicy’s Hot Dogs, chicken strips, fries, funnel cakes, and deep fried Oreos. It was really nice having everyone together since we don’t really go out as a family, ever.
We didn’t really hang around the fair much since Sebastian was getting really cranky so we went home after lunch. My Mom and I did some small errands and shopped for the rest in the afternoon. I got some new jeans (finally!) and some flats (last thing I’ll buy this month, promise)!
I ended the day by going out to a late night dinner with the boyfriend at RA Sushi!
-MONDAY: My brother, sister-in-law, and I took Sebastian to Disneyland today. We didn’t really ride much but at least I I finally got on the Little Mermaid! To be honest, I don’t think that the wait time was worth it. Oh well. Second, Sebastian got a real treat. During his photo-op with Lightning McQueen and Mater, the picture lady allowed him to “wipe” Lightning McQueen. He was so excited, he couldn’t contain himself. We ended the day at the park by getting some ice cream from the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. This is a MUST every time I’m at Disneyland.
I just need to pack now since I’m driving back to Berkeley tonight. I’m not really looking forward to the drive or work tomorrow morning. Oh well, I gotta do what I need to do.
